Toronto is buzzing with Canada festivities today, meaning lots of celebration, but also lots of road closures. Toronto Police report Hillcrest Avenue will be closed between Yonge and Doris Avenue from 7PM to midnight, and southbound lanes of Yonge could be closed from Park Home Avenue to North York Boulevard.

New research has found that AI driven diagnostic tools may be more effective than human medical workers. The new system by Microsoft has been able to correctly diagnose up to 85% of the New England Journal of Medicine’s case proceedings.

Select mushroom products have been recalled due to listeria exposure. The CFIA is advising the public that if they have come into contact with the recalled products, they should contact their health care provider.

📋 Alberta Formalizes New Referendum Rules
The Albertan government lowered the required threshold for citizens to initiate a provincewide referendum. The Alberta Prosperity Project, a group promoting Albertan independence, hopes to gather 177,000 signatures, to formally put the question on a ballot for voters.
